因為想要用更有趣的方式學英文，所以決定用美劇來訓練我的聽力以及口說．

我看第一遍的時候了解劇情，第二到三遍找出我聽不清楚或是完全不知道在說什麼的句子．

四到五遍就單純聽也不看字幕然後模仿裡面演員的口說方式．

分享一下我的筆記，覺得這樣的方式很好，只是要找比較耐看的美劇唷．

 

They’re savages.

 

Savages: a person whose way of life is at a very early stage of development.

 

One lot steals a goat from another lot, before you know it they’re ripping each other to pieces.

 

Lot:

 

ripping: to pull apart; to tear or be torn violently and quickly.

 

Of course they will behead you as a deserter.

 

Deserter: a person who leaves the armed forces without permission.

Marksman: someone who can shoot a gun very accurately.

Warden of the north.

 

Warden: a person whose job is to make certain that members of the public obey particular rules.

 

Sentence you to die.

 

Sentence: a punishment given by a judge in court to a person or organization after they have been found guilty of doing something wrong.

 

A man who passes the sentence should swing the sword.

 

Swing: to move an object or your fist in an attempt to hit something or someone.

 

Sword: a weapon with a long, sharp metal blade and a handle, used especially in the past.

 

It’s a direwolf.

 

Put away your blade.

 

Blade: the flat part on a knife or similar tool or weapon, with a very thin edge used for cutting.

Runt: the smallest and weakest animal of a group born at the same time to the same mother.

 

Litter: a group of animals that are born at the same time and have the same mother.

Slouch: to stand, sit, or walk with the shoulders hanging forward and the head bent slightly over so that you look tired and bored.

Pardon: to forgive someone for something they have said or done. This word is often used in polite expressions.

Stale:no longer new or fresh, usually as a result of being kept for too long.

Omens: something that is considered to be a sign of how a future event will take place.
